A Picture of Forgetfulness
Paint me a picture of forgetfulness
Just as the cold January winds come calling
Thoughts and whispers
into and through my frozen mind
I want to forget this time.
This is a time to forget.
To forget the hardships of this Winter's depth
To forget the hard and frozen tundra
To think of Warmth that has not as of yet
Sent even a whiff of her in its blowing.
There has been a death.
A death of all that was so wonderful
In the beginning of the Spring
And all that was so fruitful
In the court of Autumn's King.
I desire a new painting.
A new painting of what is fresh and true
A painting of a Spring that will start anew
I want to hear Warmth's voice calling
I want my soul to be renewed.
