I love the look of this goat; I imagine she lived to a ripe old age? Did she butt anyone? Just had to ask. Lovely Jan!

She lived to a grand age and yes she did headbutt someone who broke into her shed - we think he was trying to steal her or one of her kids - we heard frantic bleating and then saw this young guy running lol:-) hugs jan xx

Again a co-incidence I have written a poem about a goat but have not posted it, was not for a contest but after reading this lovely write, I might still post it. I enjoy goats, such loving animals, the villages in Greece have many goats and a roast goat on the spit (shame I'm sorry) is delicious! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

I've been reading some dark poems which I do enjoy but this feel good poem was a breath of fresh air today. Note to self: When feeling down, read a well written poem about a goat!

Hi Jan, I enjoyed your poem about your pet goat. I liked it even more when I read that it was a true story. I've had a pet cat, dog, and a roster( chickens) growing up. But not a goat which I think would have been cool, by the way. Best wishes for the contest. Have a wonderful evening:-) Alexis
