A Perishing Soul

Warrior fell with desperate woe 
  pride wounded or innocent hurt
  missed the play but never the show 
Warrior fell with desperate woe
  dying quickly he does not know
  prayers offered but so very curt 
Warrior fell with desperate woe
  pride wounded or innocent hurt
