A Perfect World

in a perfect world

no roses die on the vine

            spring is eternal

                natures gifts are abundant

                    in sunlit skies rainbows shine...

Ah Shar, if wishes came true, perhaps we would be living on a distant star. But earth beckons and we must awaken to each day without knowing whether it will be rain or shine. Perhaps that is the glory of it. Still all in all, your poem rings of peaceful dreams and happy thoughts touching us with the gentleness of a playful song.

Yes Allan, I would be the one swinging on a star, while dangling my feet in the colors of a rainbow. Ahhh the emotions of a poet...Thank you for your kind remarks, I am glad that my poetry moves you. I enjoy reading your work and look forward to more...SMiles, Shar..........

But with no imperfections, how would we know to value those things? Just like I know this is a beautiful poem because of others, not so perfect, I have seen before it. I hope all your skies are lit with rainbows - you just put one in my world. Joe
