A Perfect Summer's Day

As the sun sears, a periwinkle sky, the air shimmers in Summer's scorching heat. Emerald leaves ripple in seas of green, and ubiquitous flowers smell so sweet. The dog is splayed out, panting on the porch: and in my hammock, I welcome each breeze. Sipping on a cold glass of lemonade; I'm relaxed, feeling totally at ease. My skin tans bronze under a sizzling sun: and its caress leaves me feeling lazy. The songbirds are chirping and twittering; and the air appears opaque and hazy. That, for me, is a perfect Summer's day: though you may picture yours, another way.
