A Perfect Dream

Strong arms
	Gently cradling,
Holding me close,
	As if to say,
I’m here,
	No worries,
		You are safe.
Warm eyes
	Softly caressing,
Their feather light touch,
Skimming me from head to toe,
Soft voice full of
	Firm authority,
Waking me
	From my slumber,
Gently commanding attention
	So willingly given,
 Eyes closed in joy,
	Light filtering though heavy lids…
Sunlight
Blanketing me in sheets of warmth
		Where he once was,
A perfect dream fading until the night.
