A Penny For Your Thoughts

I scan the sky and wonder if
The stories can be true,
That aliens are coming here,
Encountered by a few.

My mind begins to ponder stuff,
Like vampires, ghouls and ghosts;
Do people really see those things,
Or are they idle boasts?

I think about the kiss we shared;
The way she held my hand.
I’m scared of getting hurt again,
But will she understand?

"I believe in true love. But my opinion is tainted, because I also believe in Bigfoot, aliens, and in the existence of honest politicians."
Jarod Kintz

Your last line quote is the kicker in this poem that makes you read it again. Best of luck in the contest with this fabulous entry! 7

Dear Jack, First of all, that is quite a witty quote from Jarod Kintz. It is challenging to believe in "honest politicians." However, I do believe aliens visit us and have for many thousands of years. There's just too much evidence to ignore it. Since I saw a ghost that others saw too, I believe in them. Vampires and ghouls make for fun reading, but I can't believe in them. I do know your last verse is true and I hope things work out for you! Much love always, carolyn

Hi Jack! I can give you an answer to my thoughts....free of charge! It does not matter if ghosts, aliens, etc exist or not, but emotions of the heart do. Being afraid of hurt is understandable, but I am sure that I would be ready to take a second chance. All the best my friend. // paul

Some thoughts aren't worth one red cent. Some it depends what they meant. Cleanliness is next to God. These three stanza's are kinda odd. :):):) I love to ramble and the rhyme dictates. A penny for your thoughts, there are no rebates. Peace. :) Good to hear from you jack.
