A Pen, a Heart and Poetry
like leaves to a tree,
like hives to a bee,
like salt to the sea,
like lock to a key,
poetry to me
is my legacy!
when harsh words are said
in pain tears are shed,
happy hearts are wed,
then broken and bled,
in life’s history...
poetry to me
is my legacy.
when eyes blur and flick,
need a walking stick,
moves no longer slick,
eating is a trick,
have a painful knee...
poetry to me,
is my legacy!
a corner of room,
a desk, chair and plume,
when thoughts flow and bloom,
from cradle to tomb....
agree? disagree?
poetry to me,
is my legacy!
