A Peek Inside
I strive to write poetry
for the pleasure I derive
When others read what I pen
they’ll get a peek inside
When first I started writing
it never occurred to me
that you reveal your true self
by creating poetry
Comments from my fellow poets
who speak out on what I penned
I find so pleasant to read
to each one I do commend
I should join in and comment
on my fellow poets work
but I just don’t feel qualified
I guess that makes me a jerk?
Current demands on my time
means poetry is denied
But I wrote this anyway
it’s another peak inside
