A Pearl In the Sand

A PEARL IN THE SAND

a solitary pearl washes up onto the shore
		and sighs.
“what’s the matter?”, questions the sand.
“my Mother, the ocean, has deserted me,
pushed me out of her love.”
“she has not forsaken you, her love
		is in your evolution.”
“what do you know about Mother?”
“we are just like you”, they explain,
“we sparkle in the light, the only difference
		is pressure and time.”
we come from the light and to the light
		we shall return.
