What of....A Pearl Poetry Contest

Sponsored by Craig Cornish

A Pearl A mystic and exquisite gem Conceived through pain and endurance, A precious fruit in nature`s realm A pearl`s bred with care and patience. Symbiosis of nature and sea Devised through an act of the Lord, Symbol of pristine purity It is carved with divine accord. Yet, a pearl or an emerald Is no companion in our grave When by Hades` icy hands we`re called The Almighty`s justice to brave . Our sole company to the grave Rests our kind deeds the world to build The roads for others we did pave And folks in dire needs we did shield. Let the wisdom bequeathed by pearls Guide us to paths that are upright And our soul to the divine world That for eternity is bright.
