A Pauper When You Die

In life great riches had I, and all that money could possibly buy Before me lay great wealth and Prosperity, but a lowly pauper was I Acquiring great riches consumed me, but for all those riches did afford only heartache and sorrow for inside I was among men most poor Destitute I was for I owned nothing that was lasting For worldly treasures of silver and gold I gladly sold my soul To great the price too great the loss! I never knew worldly pleasures would exact such a high cost For this great wisdom I now possess I must sadly confess Gold and silver can help you on no further than the grave where you lie, for you are a pauper when you die.
