A Path
When I come
I cannot stay;
When I go
I lose my way.
When I think
I get confused;
For what I find
Keeps me amused.
I've often felt
The gift of pain;
The song it sings
Is an endless refrain.
I pity all those
Who pity me
For we all share
Life's indignity.
The hands of time
Have crossed my face;
But I'm not willing
To slow the pace.
A night, a day
No time to lose;
Right or wrong
A privilege to chose.
I am in love
With all I see;
The mystic truth
Of eternity.
