A Pair of Shoes

It’s hard to find a pair of shoes
Both comfortable and chic.
I spent the whole day searching
So I know of what I speak.

For the footwear meant for walking
Often looks, at least to me,
Like it’s fashioned for the dowdy,
Just as plain as it can be.

What I want is something stylish,
With some ***** and some pizzazz,
But the sandals on display
Were more like opera, less like jazz.

So I’ll stroll around the streets again
With shoes that need replacing
While my quest resumes – it’s like
The Holy Grail I must be chasing!

Love this piece :) Love shoes and I agree it's not easy finding the perfect pair. Have a lovely day. "B"

Nothing like a pair of comfortable shoes! Shape and looks can't be discarded, but comfort comes first. The secret is to buy replacements when you see them, long before you need them:) // paul

People call me a fashion misfit but I keep my specifications very wide. More or less anything goes for me

yeah, you would think someone would get the bright idea to make really cute walking shoes. I seem to gravitate to pumps, with low heels but offering comfort . Some of them can be pretty cute.
