A Pack of Kentucky Fried
I was wondering about lunch…
What could I have I would enjoy…
Beans and bread, potato salad,
Luncheon meat or some cold French fries?
I had a few hamburger buns
Left over and up in my fridge,
As were a few cold sausages
Or I could go and boil some eggs.
Why was what I would have for lunch
Causing me such a tizzy-do
I pondered as I put my old
Steel kettle on to make coffee.
I finally said, “Enough’s enough”…
Put on my coat, got in my car
And drove down town and brought for me
A snack pack of Kentucky Fried.
