A Nightingale Sings of Dawn's Glory
A nightingale sings at dawn’s glory. Oh!
Exquisite is the sound I am hearing.
Breathtakingly beautiful is Sun’s glow.
On his subjects below Sun is peering.
As he beams down on us from a sky painted pink,
a nightingale sings at dawn’s glory. Oh,
I feel like old Sun just gave me a wink!
And what do I see in front of me? Lo!
In the meadow I stand in there is a young doe -
perfection which stares at me with soft eyes.
A nightingale sings at dawn’s glory. Oh!
Breeze touches my cheeks. So sweetly she sighs.
More birds join in now. It’s like a choir.
Magic at daybreak all creatures can know!
As Sun in Heaven climbs higher and higher,
a nightingale sings at dawn’s glory. Oh!
