A Nice Little Chat

Why do I wait, will it matter not?
Since time passes on, right on the dot
A morsel to eat, a drink in hand
Time waits for no one, not even this man
The rain keeps coming, oh to my dismay
But who am I? I can’t keep it away
I’m just flesh and blood, no better no worse
A pawn on the chess board, a coma in this verse
But yet I have feelings, but what good is that?
Since I can’t roll downhill if the land is flat
Nor can I fly, there are no wings on me
And sometimes I wonder if it’s real what I see
But I’ll keep on thinking about this and that
As it’s been nice having this little chat
