A New World

Just close my eyes
And I’ll just pretend
He was long gone
Left us no end.

I think it’s strange
When he’s not around
All things were so well
When we’re at the ground.

If he only knew
Mom is shattered
The pain that he gave
Left father battered.

Our endless grief
He left the real world
We know he’ll be kind
To God’s new world.

Someone, something caused the intense sadness in your poem Lei... it's a poignant write. Simple but tugs at the heartstrings. HUgs! Ate Kim...PS 2nd stanza, 3rd line - things...:) :)
