A New Watch
I bought a brand new watch today
And this is what I saw
A time piece of great value
Or so I had thought.
It had a gold and silver bracelet
with a face of royal blue
A touch of highlighted numbers
Without a second hand too.
I had an adjustment
Because the size just did not fit
And with the touch of a button
The face is not quite lit.
I then stopped a child and said
"Please read the instructions for me"
The child said, "Yes ma'am I can
Let me read and I will see".
"Well ma'am I've finished reading
And I still cannot seem to find
Despite how long I study
I cannot find the time!"
