A New Shoreline
The earth is as fluid as the sea itself
Like these thoughts which have no
ultimate or fixed reality
As the tide rises, in waves of silver
To touch the edges of wet sand
Like tears sparkling that edge over
With no boundaries losing itself to shores
Contemplating this life of the shore
A truth that is just beyond our grasp
And what truth lies in these words
That are like small creatures coming to shore
And finding their existence
to be pulled under once more
The echoes of the past, beat and surf
Shaping, changing this stream of life
Flowing toward an unknown, unseen future
To discover the excitement of a new world
In the long rhythm of the sea, in an instant I see
time flowing with determination
to push these boundaries.
And like this mind, has gained a new perspective
As we navigate and create and become
one with the universe
And those low tides, creating space
to carry us into shallow waters
As we build a new shoreline, our very own
Sparkling with waves surfing with broad smiles!
