Look at the sun as a new day is rising There is a reason for why I am smiling She’s always on my mind She’s why I wake up and fall asleep with this smile on my face And why I finally find myself with a happy place May the old me completely give way to the new While this new light in life shows me all the happiness within view I’m on top of the world and I want the world to see how happy she’s already made me This new leaf in life, this newly turned page, is what I’ve been waiting for, what I’ve been longing for, what I’ve been needing for so long There’s a void that feels filled, like the spaces between my fingers And thoughts of her give me this smile that lingers So I’m happily embracing this new outlook on life, like I’m embracing this girl inside my arms
