A New Day

I met the Lord today in everything that I saw
As I went about my way continually in this state of awe
For as I awoke the moon's light was glittering in my eyes
The eastern sky was getting bright as the western sky still lies

Waiting for mother goose and her well orderly brood
With nature I have such a truce and then soon on I rode
The stars were so bright and perfectly held in place
I could almost see His Light as I searched for His Face

The birds were aloft as the breeze relentlessly blew
Creating currents so soft as these birds effortlessly flew
Blades of grass like marching soldiers so perfectly aligned
Set among giant boulders with the many stories we find

And as at work I arrive taking a deep breath of His air
In just being alive you can see all of His Graceful flair
And all throughout the day reflecting upon His wondrous Glory
I manage to make my way with just the following of His Story

I was struck by the image of the blades of grass like marching soldiers perfectly aligned. Everything of God's is order. Even the things that are "messy" have an order in their having been created by Him. A good Sunday poem.
