A New Day

The clouds are gone,
the sun shines bright
I open my heart
to all that is right

I take a deep breath
of clean cool air
It feels so good
to release the despair

I open my eyes
and look around
My lips curl up,
no longer a frown

I look to the future
and all I can see
Is anything, and everything
I want it to be
