A New Day

A NEW DAY
after a long walk on the road i paved for myself i stand awhile to look ahead, see the dusk silently descend with the twilight gleam on the horizon, look back through the spreading haze of oblivion, see the fading faces recede behind the veil of silver dust i raised on my way in happy journey to where i am now at the near end of the road on the fringe of nowhere where the sapphire night is falling like the mist of dreams with the hue of the stardust marking for me a mystique road shining with patina of joy i shall follow, go beyond the unseen horizon to meet the new sun rising with the tapestry of colors in my sky unfurling a new day for me i will traverse until the golden sun sets to rise again
on flushing meadow pearls of morning dew sparkle faces rise from dust

Congratulations on your win.So much in this I like. "...road I paved for myself...", "...at the end of the road on the fringe of nowhere...", and a few more. Profound. Well done! A fave.

Quote Subimal Sinha-Roy “Thank you so much, Mick, for the placement and for your nice words of appreciation that motivate me immensely. In place of "prosperity," you perhaps meant "posterity". Thank you.”, unquote. My pleasure Subimal, & thank u 4 the heads up on my childish error, 4 indeed I meant 'posterity', however, I do hope & wish it brings u future prosperity if it hasn't already done so, thanks again, Mick
