A New Dawn

A new dawn

I have been down and out for so long.
Like winter cold and heavy.
My thoughts thick and negative.
My heart heavy and sad.
My face very grim.
Reflecting every thought.

With spring, I too began to melt.
Giving way to lighter, brighter and more cheerful thoughts.

The change inevitable.
A new time and season has begun.

As summer rolls on.
My spirits soar.
I am glad to be a happier version of me.
