A New Book

Like a voice in the dark
  I hear you speak.
You call to me in my sleep.
I hear your voice and I smile
if only for a little while.

How sweet the dream
  of starting anew.
How lovely the thought
  of being with you.
You make me want to write
  a new book
  and I am so tempted
  to take a look.

But there you are
  and here am I,
  so far away
like a bird in the sky.
Will you sail down
  on a cool breeze?
And will you take us
  through the trees?

I'll follow your lead
  and see where it goes.
Maybe we'll find love.
Who knows?

So what chapter did you read?I like this poem. I like to read, mysteries, and poetry. I enjoy both.

The book is very long, Darlene. And, I wrote this "chapter" a long time ago but it is as if I wrote it yesterday. Thank you for reading my poetry. Carole Duet

If I wrote a book I would have to "claim" it was fiction. Haha Thank you for your encouragement, Dan.
