A New Age Kerfuffle

Addicted to modern technology you say?
Nah, I could live without my Mac
Well, at least for maybe an hour or so
Before a withdrawal attack

First thing in the morning you'll find me here
Surfing and learning new things
Opening up and exploring new horizons
An amazing experience it brings

Text books and encyclopedias used to do it
The source for all my new learning
Today they've become much less important
The tide is definitely turning

Farewell to novels you held in your hand
Sadly they're becoming obsolete
No more sitting and reading by the seaside
With waves lapping at your feet

So say goodbye to how life used to be
Must adapt or get lost in the shuffle
Open your computer and start surfing away
Or wind up in a new age kerfuffle!

"No more sitting and reading by the seaside With waves lapping at your feet"Sounds dreamy! I love to pick up a book and read. It's good to keep an open mind, and keep learning. Always, Laura

I l-o-v-e computers... on more white out and retyping the page! But I know I'm probably in trouble, for I must always have a book in hand!

i like this poem and agree that things are changing and we have to get used to the changes but i will always enjoy holding a book in my hands (a REAL book!) and turning the pages...

Jack ; You are so right. It is a whole different world of what it used to be and we have to be willing to change with it, only i think that some things should never change. Have a great day. Lucy

At times, at my age, I'm ready to just sail off into the sunset! LOL Love and happy thoughts, Jack
