A Naked Dance

We have had naked dances,
I know I will not have them
With any other, my heart will dance
Naked with yours forever.

And this is just the time
For this love to fight to survive,
It is breathing in my silent soul,
It is shining beyond
The dark pain of tribal influence.

Life begins when we are past a deathwish,
When there is nothing left to prove,
You said you are gone,
But you are lingering around,
I am the only one you know beyond pride,
Like you are the only one I know.

This connection is rare and defined
Like the smooth strokes of your oasis,
Like the sun shining in the morning,
But blinding when you look at it.
