A Mother's Prayer

Lord, please allow me the peace of mind needed to guide the children through their worst hour. Help me to realize the world is not like yesterday and the stresses of life begin at an earlier age. Allow me the serenity of soul needed to walk away in the heat of anger and allow us both to calm down and rethink. Allow me the wisdom to know what they need even if they don’t. Please allow me the strength to discipline without regret, remorse or backing down. Please allow them the happiness they deserve, no matter the cost to physical things. Allow them the mental stability to realize what the limits are, and how respect, happiness and love are earned before deserved.
