A Mothers Love?

How can a mother not hurt when her child cries out in pain? How can she turn and look away when there's so much to be gained? If only her heart would open and let God show the way, to happiness and love everlasting. For this, I'll always pray. Is it possible to just feel nothing towards the child you gave away? Please say there is at least a hope that you will love me again some day. When I look at my child I feel love. I could never turn my back. But you never felt that way towards me. Is it something that I lack?

Great write about a topic that touches on the lives of many in these days..I was adopted myself but my mother did not have a choice about it because she died..However, the other people in my family had a choice and chose not to keep me but give me away..It effects a person for the rest of their lives..I know that it was best now and have for a long, long time but the emotions associated with it will always be there..Congratulations on your work being on home page...Sara
