A Mother's Day Wish

This is for my dearest wife Cathie
Who MOTHERS me every DAY of the year
But the moment I have to wear diapers
Is when I can no longer live here

If she places me in an old people's home
Won't be upset or hold a big grudge
Though I'll no longer be able to think rationally
Sure hope she brings me some fudge

In closing I'd just like to comfort her
Wow, forgot what was I about to confess
Oops! It's time to change my diapers again
So far I can still clean my own mess!

I truly thought I was going to read some gushy-lovey-dovey stuff when I opened up your poem... you always seem to know how to surprise me though! Carol Eastman May 12, 2013 at 11:58 AM I was about to mow a few extra yards, for the summer... when I messed up my foot... The kids won't be home for Mother's Day... But my Hubby will be pampering me all day... He's sooo sweet... like Cathie... It's good to have them with us....
