A Mother's Cry

I got pregnant
Long months ago
Felt blessed
Given this gift.

Was excited
For that was my first
What will be his name
When he’ll come my world?

Bought bunch of things
Clothes and toys
His cradle was ready
In a shimmering room.

So I wanted to be
Best mom in town
Excited to hear
Those sweet moans of love.

Was extremely happy
Had so many bonds
In a place called home.

Now I’m looking
On his empty cradle
Tears are falling
Lost him forever.

How innocent
Fragile and vulnerable
Why wasn’t he given chance
To see the world?
