A Mother

Who is a mother and what is a mother? A mother is one that gives birth to a child. A mother is one that loves you and holds you in her arms. A mother is one who gives you your first hugs and kisses. A mother is one that feeds you when you are hungry and takes care of you when you are sick. A mother is one that wories about you when you come home late. A mother is one that is happy for you when you suceed and one that tells you - I love you , when you fail. Many women can give birth, but not all can be called mothers. That is the reason that some are very special and that includes you mother. Happy mothers day...

reminds me of one of my poems ( any man can be a father , but not every man can be a dad) for you ; mother i thank you for bringing me into this world for now "i am a mother" and i have my little girl. you raised me with loving tender care and with her this i will share. you set an example from your heart and from that i have become a part. i will show her everything that you have taught me with your loving heart, so that she will have the same good start.

Lucilla I like your poem, and I do agree, not all women make good mothers, I speak from the heart...David

Lucilla, mothers are the most beautiful flowers. they give birth to our eternity, it does not matter how long our live's last. I love all the dna-ing mothers do all over the world. When a mother is absent from that warm hold a child needs. God blessed us with step mother's. I was lucky 2 have 2 mothers. But, it came with pain. I lost my biological mother. My step mother is still alive, but she is no more, she is now in a hospital with Alzheimer. God bless your poem ~ always PD
