Notes About The Poem

A Monday Morning

Yet another Monday rolls around
And I rise with the sun
                    Summer is still here
                       Still hanging on
                   An infinitely busy day
                 Gravid with possibilities
        And various shades of opportunities
          Summer Marguerites are swaying
          Obediently in the morning breeze
Yet another day to get my hustle on
To be that thunderbolt in the bottle
                 Operating at full-throttle
Running from pillar to post like a headless chicken
'Tis a manic Monday, for sure
But there is magic in the air
             There's excitement in facing
               New challenges, exploring
And discovering sublime to ridiculous things
            The morning sun shines above
In this chaotic yet blessed day

What a wonderful attitude to have on a Monday! Sadly I can relate to a headless chicken having raised them in my youth. I enjoyed reading your poem this Saturday night! : )
