A Moment With Ms Love

I saw Love leave today, with a wave as she walked away from me She took one last glance, smiled, that was the last I would see I don’t blame her for leaving, as Resentment was due And between her and Hate, Love took the gap & off she flew I stood staring watching her grow smaller & finally disappear Reminiscing how she had taught me to laugh, live and have no fear But I knew deep down inside that this would happen one day She had so many lessons to share, I could not ask her to stay The fields are all brown and barren and the air has grown cold Alone and warmed by my memories on the porch where I grow old Distracted by the winds of misery of Anger & Pain in yet another fight Which leads to Resentment and Hate who take them in for the night
