A Moment

From that moment, that first "Yes, I would love to",
like from the movie, "You had me at hello", well,
how often can one celebrate a moment?
Those young eyes that adored me -
I did not deserve, yet gladly bathed
in their glow, while wishing that this magic
would somehow stay, unlike so much other happiness
that had gone away - always gone away.
But tomorrow became tomorrow
and your sweet heart still thinks I'm okay,
so I'm still discovering how long
one can celebrate ... a moment.

One can celebrate a moment until the one would cherish the moment as his first...As that first day She said"Hello","I'd love to".May that tomorrow always be tomorrow...and May today will always be that first day..Maybe not in how we look..because we all age everyday...but how we feel deep inside our heart. How lovely your poetry is Craig.

Such a beautifully penned sentimental poem, i am sure she will value the words you wrote as this moment more than any other treasures! :) hugs

“and your sweet heart still thinks I’m ok” the vulnerability of loving and the wonder of being loved (swoon)... beautiful!
