A Modern Day Hero, Am I?
A modern day hero, that's what I am
Being etched in your eccentric mind;
A mere tokenism, for my tormented body;
Always reminding me, I am of that kind
Yet, my shivering spine
Disagree in everything you opine;
How could you confer me such?
Yet, you continue to ride
Roughshod over me, nobbling my chances
Of re-establishing myself;
I wonder! Could you not read or write?
You misspelled, rambling my true identity;
Advise: Be honest and dedicated
To your work, for you to be right;
I take no pleasure of being called a hero,
Nor, wish to become one;
I'm just an OFW, warbling in a small cell
That the master provided, for when winter fall
I can huddle in silence, beside its cold wall;
If, I'm your beloved, why couldn't you smile?
Every time I come to see you;
Again, Why?
Reason....unwanted!
