A Mismatch For My Charm
In the streets of Nairobi
Is a hopeless place to find love
I walked with a rather slow pace
As I rummaged my eyes perplexingly through the parade of display windows
Every commodity on display seemed of excellent quality and just as necessary
The sun that morning had risen in a rather dusky manner
And the dark clouds were feeble waiting to fall
A girl approached in a distance with her long loose hair dancing behind her shoulders
She was quick to spot
She walked like a princess during her bridal party
Perhaps you remember how Meghan Merkel did it
A smile blossomed on her face
Her height and weight were altogether on full balance
My mind quickly shifted focus to her
I wanted to watch her like a movie as she walked filled with integrity
My heart stopped for a moment
As mixed feelings stomped on it's floor
I felt like it was being roasted in the full of fury flames of hell
And a little bit like freezing in the cold ice at the peak of Everest
I stood glued to the ground beneath me
I can't remember exactly how long but it seemed like it was taking forever for her to reach where I was standing
When the moment I had been waiting for came
It seemed to pass as fast than I expected
Even before I had mentioned a word
Her boyfriend,I guess appeared from nowhere, grabbed her arm and they hugged and kissed
My whole spirit sank below the ground I had my feet stuck on
In the streets of Nairobi
Is a hopeless place to find love
