A Minute of Silence

A minute of silence
to remember,
those that gave their lives
tears fill eyes so tender.

A minute of silence
to give thanks,
pictures hang on poles
men of different ranks.

A minute of silence
tears roll down cheeks,
for loved ones lost
of wars that were so bleak.

A minute of silence
tears fill eyes so tender,
to those that gave their lives
thank you, we'll always remember.

To those families that lost their loves ones, so that we could be free, I want to thank you as well.
