A Message In a Bottle

If i was to place a message in a bottle tossing it in to the ocean of blue
Would you look down from heaven and know this message is for you
If the oceans wave carried it to a far sandy shore
Would you soar down to get it knowing who it was for
Or would the ocean gobble it up for it never to be seen
Like it had never existed but only in a dream
Would it just drift on to never find an end
Or come across a soul that has a heart that needs to mend
Would it be the hard pull caught on the end of a hook
Or would it become just words with the meaning over looked
I need to ask these questions to know what to write
So i can put it in the bottle placing the lid on tight
For if it reaches you darling i would have these words to say
I am lonely without you i miss you everyday
And if it reaches a soul that has a heart that needs to mend
I am sorry your hearts been broken a hug to you i send
If it becomes a journey and its end is never known
Than somewhere drifting is a message and the ocean is its home
