This goes out to all the amazing fathers, grand fathers, step fathers God fathers and any father figure( whether it’s a coach uncle or
family friend). I believe Father’s Day is every day. My father passed away over a decade ago.Remeber to tell your father as often as you can how much  you love and appreciate him. We often think we have a lot of time to spend with our loved ones. But the truth of the matter is we don’t. Time goes by in a flash!!!

I think about you often, you were the first man that I ever truly loved. I never doubted how much you loved me. You were a big part of my world, It was a joy being around you. The day you left, my world went dark and crumbled. I had to learn how to live in world without you, because I knew I was never going to get over you. How could I? When part of me left with you. In hindsight, I wish I would have told you that I loved you more, hugged you more, and called you more. But nevertheless, I know you knew how much I loved and adored you. The one thing that saddens my heart is your grand kids( my kids) didn’t get the honor and privilege to know you. I’m wishing you a heartfelt Father’s Day from my spirit to your spirit! Alexis you brought tears to my eyes. It is as if I wrote this poem for my dad whom I also adored. I also reprimand myself for not telling him often enough but as you say, he knew. I was glad that my son had 8 yeas with my Dad and I was divorced at that time, so my father was Ricky's father - they were inseparable. At his funeral he said a prayer and had us all in tears and helped to carry out the coffin. Kudos Alexis. Blessings my friend and hugs, Jennifer.

A beautiful tribute to your father Alexis, I feel your loss as I too lost my father four years ago. You never forget them, they live on in your heart. Tom
