A Memory To Cherish
Troubled by the colleagues’ dirty tricks,
Exhausted by the day’s hard labour,
Bored by the routine domestic work,
Once I wanted to visit an old friend of mine.
Seeing me at his threshold,
He welcomed me with a ‘Duchenne smile’.
As if he found a treasure in me,
Gave me a ‘bear hug’,
With a feeling not to lose me.
Many a pleasantry was exchanged.
His condition was the same as mine.
We both got strength and solace,
In each other’s company.
Oh! What a memory to cherish!!
