A Memory

The pain rises once more,
And my mind opens this door.
Thoughts of you run through my mind,
Of memories left behind.

I fall deep in my memory,
Remembering how it used to be.
But now it’s over and done,
Out of my life you’ve gone.

Emotions find a place,
Something I still can’t erase.
I’ll always keep you in my heart,
Although we are so far apart.

A silent memory of you,
A vision I still can’t subdue.
My life will continue,
But I’ll always think of you.
