A Measure of Pleasure

Failure's ferocious fangs stalk me with sadistic smile. Fear's firm fist furiously pound on my heart's door. Pain's piercing pangs refuse me parole and sorrow stubbornly seeks to seize my soul. I'm scared of misfortune's malevolence and disappointment's desire to destroy and devour me. But I won't surrender; I will struggle to stall sadness and strive to suck pleasure out of pain. I'll trudge through trouble and gather a measure of treasure. I'll brew a juice of joy and consume a cup of courage, sipping slowly to sedate sorrow. I'll ride a horse of happiness through the period of pain - atleast find a little comfort in distress.
