A Meal Shared

On my deck
They come to dine.
Of spring, they are
My first sign.

Seeds in a dish
Set with care
To feed the birds
That gather there.

I give to them,
They give to me.
They bring joy.
A sight to see.

Small and large,
My guests arrive
To enjoy a meal.
I help them thrive.

We share a moment
In our day
Then, till tomorrow
They're on their way.

Check out this from the New York Times:http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9407E7DB103CF937A25751C1A961958260 I knew this woman personally. A lot of people feed birds, but not to this extent. Your poem is very descriptive with good rhyming.
