A Matter of When
Yes, life sure is beautiful;
meant to be lived
and enjoyed to the fullest,
but make no mistake,
one thing it's not is a friend.
Life gives no one
the red carpet treatment.
It doesn't make one
a cushy bed of roses to sleep on.
It tests one's faith and resolve.
Life could, if it wanted to,
knock you flat on the floor
with a vicious, powerful hook.
When it does, try rising
to your feet, alone.
Life will shove you through
a meat grinder. You must fight
to emerge at the tail-end intact.
And it will challenge you;
it's a matter of when,
not if...
so prepare yourself!
The question is...
