A MASTERSTROKE

They say you are cuter
through you I see myself
an artist with a masterstroke
the Wilson Ngoni of reproduction

Your googly eyes a mirror
through which I see my past
a reflection of dreams I never achieved
your rabbit ears so alert
to hear all the good wishes
I pronounce silently about your future

Your skin perfectly smooth
smooth enough it heals
painful wounds from my past
They say you are cuter
but through you I see myself...
