A Married Man's Muse

Every day I went away Near fifty years of work Pleasantly I spent the day Midst temptation's lurk Pretty women all around Everywhere I turned Dazzling smiles, alluring frowns For so many my heart yearned Alas, I was a married man A trooper, faithful to his wife But now she's gone, the field I scan ~ Ponder paths untrod in life ~ This, of course, is pure fiction ~

Whatever floats one 's boat, life is short, we must enjoy it and live it not as others think is right but as what makes us happy. a great poem however, and saw it was pure fiction. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.
