Notes About The Poem

USA gained most of its current territories by purchasing it off other countries (line 2). As from 1861 to1865, there was a bloody civil war between the North and south over conflicting issues (lines 3 and 4). Spies on its allies and friends (lines 6 and 7) and comes to the aid of other Nations only if there’s something to benefit (line 8). Tens of thousands of manufacturing facilities are shutting down (line 9). Abraham Lincoln was a licensed bar tender (line 14). John F. Kennedy ordered over 1,000 cuban cigars for personal use just hours before he made them illegal (lines 14 and 15). Every US president with a beard has been a republican (line 16) and many more...

A Married Bachelor- a Poor Billionaire

A land so massive with infinite opportunities
its dwelling consisting of purchased territories
history stained in the late 18th century
by bloody rift between its vertical ends

A married bachelor with itchy interests
a wonderfully smiling acquaintance and a good friend
who hangs unto the outside window after saying goodbye
and his greed masked by synthetic virtues.

Manufacturing is becoming more of an orphan
yet guns and bullets sit on the high table of its account
just to protect its greatness by all cost
to preserve its pride and put its reputation into immense hype

Having an interesting record of its chief guardians
from a licensed bar tender to the lover of Cuban cigars
who bans them just hours after a personal purchase in thousands
and the coincidence of all beard attributed to a political group

So much comfort, so that most of its citizens
aren’t conscious of the ‘extra-border’ environment
deriving much despise and labeled as learned ignorants.
A nation most hated, most feared,
most respected and most sought after
And still ranked the number one paradise in the globe
