A Man of Magnanimous Soul
A man of magnanimous soul
Wakes up in the early morning
Parts the curtains and picks up a call -
The third Macbeth witch is calling
She speaks like a favorite of King Lear
Offers enticing plans for the evening
But a man says to her “sorry dear
I really can’t take this deceiving
I’m not at all curious to know about
Anything secretive, well-hidden
While the sun shines, I’m going out
I don’t waste time on the fruits forbidden”
Then a man of magnanimous soul
Tries to disconnect, whispers “damn”
His wife appears, as he stops the call
“Who that was?” she asks, he says “spam”.
